Mission Statement

Mission Statement

Goal Star Magazine

Goal Star must become the most admired football magazine for boys in the ages between 8-13. Goal Star must become their prime source for news, tricks, inspiration, aspiration and background stories on famous matches, clubs and superstars. Everything in Goal Star magazine rotates around football. It's written for those who live and breathe football by those that live and breathe football, of course with a particular eye to the characteristics of the young, boyish target group, where aspiring to become a superstar and identifying with a particular club are at the centerpiece of their lives. And where the journalism and language is not too complicated and mirror the minds of the boys that age. Goal Star provides in depth inside into the world of professional football. It inspires it's readers to become better at their game, both when they train and play, and when they discuss football with their friends. Goal Star provides access to learn more about their current idols and the next generation of idols. Goal Star is entertaining because everything is well written and laid out in an attractive fashion.

Even though Goal Star is designed to meet the needs of a young target audience, the more professional football media must recognize Goal Star as a honest, reliable, well-written, straight-forward, quality-driven magazine with a lay-out that is both appealing, easy-to-digest and innovative. Goal is a source that other established football media may refer to on occasion, and Goal is a partner sharing content with other premium football media.

Particularly the images brought in the magazine must stand-out in drama, honesty, intensity and picture quality. The most exciting of these, e.g. portraying stars of particular hype and importance, or high intensity scenes from recent matches, will be made available as posters inserted in the magazine.

Goal Star will be published monthly, both physically and in a tablet version, available via App Store. In the version of a physical magazine, Goal Star is A4 size, 44 pages and full color. The colors are bold and clear exactly as they are in the football business; Red, white, black, blue etc.

The advertising content is between 20% and 30%. In the tablet version, the content is slightly adjusted to fit the opportunities of the screen and the navigation.

Goal Star is available in news stands, on the internet and as subscription.

The cost pr. issue is 2.5 pounds sterling, regardless you get the physical magazine or the tablet version. It is published every second week; 26 issues annually. For subscribers, the cost is 36 pounds if you sign up for the whole year, equal to a 25% rebate. Subscribers will get full access to the tablet version without an extra fee.
